Hello ladies and gentlemen, and welcome…
Way back when I was still in high school, I got the bright idea to start a website to showcase all the little creative movie projects that I was working on. I knew almost nothing about web design and even less about making movies, but I didn’t let that stop me.
Well, folks, time goes on and with time comes experience (as some old adage goes). Here we are–seven years later and on the third official revamp of lucky 9 studios. In that time, I’ve manged to work professionally as a video editor and graphic designer, all while continuing to write, direct, and edit several short films. Progress, indeed.
This revamp was brought forth from a desire to create a web 2.0 version of lucky 9 studios. Designed in WordPress (the best open source content management system out there) using the berita theme from bizzartic, it allows me to keep an active blog (which I can update with pertinent news) and opens the lines of communication between me and the rest of the world (comment away folks).
Beyond simply being a portfolio for my various professional and creative work, I’m hoping this site can allow me to share my general thoughts and musings concerning my interests, my life, and all the good stuff in between (like a creative Oreo, if you will). Check back often and feel free to subscribe to this blog’s XML feed. I may have to iron out a few kinks as I kick the site’s new set of tires, but I’m looking forward to working in a brand new creative arena that will allow me to explore all aspects of video production and film making.
Seven years ago, I knew nothing. Seven years later, I’ve learned a lot. Seven years from now? Who knows… They say if you shoot for the moon and miss, at least you’re still one of the stars. Cheesy? Hell yeah. But, I’ve never been one to shy away from cheese, especially when it’s melted.
Lucky 9 3.0. Let the journey begin…
Good luck with your project, design is great 😉
Thanks! And, thanks for the help on the ad widgests. Got it to work smoothly.
