“We need this done fast.” I’ve heard the phrase many times in the world of video production.
Well, as I’m sure many of you are aware, “fast” doesn’t always equate to “good.” This past weekend, I was contracted to create a series of brand identifiers/bumpers for the Washington Post’s upcoming convention coverage. The big caveat? It had to had to be done “fast”–one day to be exact. So much for the ole’ adage that creativity can’t be rushed!
Normally, I would say that such a timeline would yield poor results, but I was excited about the opportunity to literally “brand” four online segments with almsot total creative freedom. That’s something that usually doesn’t happen with a company that has such an established brand, so I jumped at the opportunity. All in all, it worked out really well. You can check out the results below. I just hope next time I have more than 24 hours. 🙂
